Mrs. Diane Marie (nee Simpson) Rizzolo

Diane M. (nee Simpson) Rizzolo, 51, of Folcroft, formerly of Secane and Prospect Park, on September 16, 2010 at Temple University Hospital. She was born July 1, 1959 in Philadelphia the daughter of Patricia (nee Sweeney) Simpson Olszewski and the late William Simpson. Diane attended St. Gabriel Grade School and graduated from Archbishop Prendergast High School in 1976. She also attended Delaware County Community College which led to a 23 years position as a unit clerk at Delaware County Memorial Hospital. Diane enjoyed time at the Jersey shore, reading, spending time with friends and family and playing with her grandson Nathan. She also had a special nack for making people laugh. In addition to her mother she is survived by her husband of 32 years Douglas Rizzolo; her children David Rizzolo (Robin), Jason Rizzolo and Krystal Rizzolo; her grandson Nathan Rizzolo; her brother William Simpson; also survived by her nephews William, Matt and Andrew Simpson and her stepfather William Olszewski. Relatives and friends are invited to her visitation Wednesday evening from 7-9pm and Thursday after 8:30am at the Cavanagh Family Funeral Home 301 Chester Pike, Norwood. A Funeral Mass will be held Thursday 10am in the Church of St. Gabriel, Mohawk Ave., Norwood. Interment will follow in Saints Peter and Paul Cemetery, Springfield.
