KILLINGTON - Diane Scappaticci Rosenblum, 71, died Saturday, June 9, 2018, at home in Killington, VT. Her husband, David A. Rosenblum, was with her. Diane's cause of death was multiple myeloma and cardiac amyloidosis.
Diane was born in Mamaroneck, NY, Nov. 9, 1946, daughter of Hugo and Carmella Scappaticci. She was a graduate of Rye Neck High School, Mamaroneck, NY; a 1968 graduate of SUNY of Albany, Albany, NY; and an MBA from Pace University, NY, NY, in 1978.
Diane was a leader in the field of business education. She served as president and chief operating officer of Drake Business Schools and one of the owners working there from 1972-2004. She also was an accomplished author in the field.
She founded Success Systems International, an educational consulting firm. She received many awards and was very active in New York state and city politics. She was a member of the Young President's Organization, Junior League of NYC and a member of the NYC Mayor's Task Force on Prison Reform.
She came to Killington, VT, to ski, met her husband and married in 1997. She became involved in and served as chairman of the board of the Sherburne Memorial Library. She loved skiing, tennis, reading and the opera.
Her husband, David A. Rosenblum, and her dog, Wilton, survive Diane; as do her sister, Karen Scappaticci, and her husband, Howard Steinberg, nieces Lian and Sara Steinberg. Also, her brother, Charles Scappaticci, wife Robin and two nephews Sean and Eric Scappaticci, survive Diane.
A memorial service is being held 11 a.m., Friday, June 15, 2018, the Clifford Funeral Home. Reception and luncheon will follow at 12:30 p.m. at the Sherburne Memorial Library.
The service and reception are open to all. Memorial contributions may be made to the Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center, Norris Cotton Cancer Center, 1 Medical Center Drive, Lebanon, NH 03756-1000; or The Sherburne Memorial Library, 2998 River Road, Killington, VT 05751.

My condolences to Diane's family. I met Diane at our bridge club in Rutland. She was such a sweet lady, with a charming personality and she always had a smile on her face. We will miss her. May your loving memories help to ease your grief.
