DIANE M. "DeeDee"
Age 33 of Sharpsburg on Monday, November 1, 2004; beloved daughter of Anthony V. and Alana Cruikshank Sacco; sister of Pamela L. (Drew) D'Agostino, Virginia M. (Doug) Herceg and Anthony V. Sacco Jr.; aunt of Alana and Cora Herceg and Anthony and Andrew D'Agostino; granddaughter of the late John and Virginia Sacco and Al and Nancy Cruikshank; also survived by aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Visitation Wednesday and Thursday 2-4 and 7-9 pm in the WEDDELL-AJAK FUNERAL HOME, 100 Center Ave., Aspinwall. Funeral Friday 9:30 am. Funeral Mass 10 am St. Scholastica Church, Aspinwall.

Dear Sacco Family.
I’m am sorry for your loss. May Dee Dee rest in peace. Her suffering has ended.
May her memory live on forever in our hearts!
God looked around his Garden and found an empty place.
He then looked down upon his earth and Dee Dee’s loving face.
He put his arms around her and lifted her to rest.
His Garden must be beautiful, he always takes the best.
He knew that she were suffering, he knew she was in pain.
And knew that she would never get well on earth again.
He saw her path was difficult, he closed her tired eyes,
He whispered to her "Peace be Thine" and gave her wings to fly.
When we saw Dee Dee sleeping so calm and free of pain,
We would not wish her back to earth to suffer once again.
She’s left us precious memories, her love will be our guide,
She lives on through her family, she’s always by there side.
It broke our hearts to lose her, but she did not go alone.
For part of us went with Dee Dee, the day God called her home.

To the Sacco Family: you are in my prayers and thoughts. Mrs. Sacco, my Mom, Georgenne Hazlett, told me about the times you stopped by to see her at Healthsouth - she would always tell me, and we would pray for Dee Dee.
I remember Dee Dee very well because we were childhood friends when we lived in Sharpsburg. My Mom used to drop me off at your house to play...I remember Dee Dee's smile as clear as day - I am saddened by your loss. Dee Dee and I met up again in our early 20s and we went out one evening - we had so much fun that night.
Friends lose touch some times - but they leave imprints in your heart always.
Dee was a super special person - and I wish your family the peace that only God can deliver each of you now.
I don't know what it is like to lose a child - but I lost a brother at a very young age, and had to watch my parents go through the most horrible period of their lives - the hurt does not go away. I remember somebody told me shortly after my brother died, 'you'll never get over it, but you will get through it - somehow, someway...' They were right. It's a fight for us that have lost a loved one in an untimely way, every day it is a fight - but with God's unending love, we do get through it.
My love and prayers are with each of you and may God uplift each of you during this time and always.

Words can not describe how I feel over the loss of DeeDee. DeeDee was an inspiration to me as well as everyone who knew her. I will miss her so much. Her smile would light up the room when she walked in.
Last night I remembered a poem that was given to us when my grandparents past and I thought of DeeDee.
I am home in heaven, dear ones. Oh, so happy and so bright! There is a perfect joy and beauty in the everlasting light. All the pain and grief is over, every restless tossing passed; I am now at peace forever, safely home in heaven at last. There is work still waiting for you, so you must not idly stand, do it now, while life remaineth -- You shall rest in God's own land. When that work is all completed. He will gently call you Home; Oh, the rapture of that meeting. Oh, the joy to see you come!
