Dear Larry, I just learned today of Diane's passing away. My deepest heartfelt condolences go out to you and your family. Diane was a very special person and I will always hold fond memories of her.

Mrs. Ure was my English teacher at Vic Comp in the early 70's. Once, as an assignment, she asked us to write an essay on our definition of “success.” I have to say that I struggled with the task and knew at the time my submission was dismal. Through the years I have challenged myself with the notion of “success.” I think Mrs. Ure would be pleased to know that I finally “got it”! She inspired us to think outside the box, and as with me, left a lasting impression. My deepest sympathies to all who knew and loved her. May she rest in peace.

May all the 'Angels' gather & welcome her into their fold,as she has attributed many gifts to many children under her teacher's spell. God only takes the 'BEST', & most beautiful.

I remember Diane bringing glazed "croissants" to school one day for the staff. "How decadent," I thought. Croissants were over the top already! Thank you, Diane.
