Diane Winters Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Nov. 23, 2018.
Diane Lynn Winters, age 57, passed away at her home in Winter Haven on Tuesday, November 13th. Diane, the daughter of Betty Keough, was born February 15th 1961 in Sharpsville, PA. She was a graduate of Sharpsville High School, later relocated to Charleston, SC, and finally settled in Winter Haven, the place she called "home". Diane was the very proud mother of her two sons, Corey Daniel Young, born April 26th 1978, and Christopher Adair Hawkins, born November 11, 1989. In 2000, Diane found, fell in love with, and married her beloved soul mate, Donald Winters. Diane, known for her work ethic, worked at Cypress Gardens, was owner/operator of Pace Shoe Repair and was a Bookkeeper for Choice Dantzler for 13 years. Diane loved to fish, travel, and most of all enjoyed time with her precious granddaughters, Windsor Noelle Young (7), Skylar Paige Young (6), and Stella Reese Young (2), born to son Corey Young and his wife Erin. She was especially excited about the upcoming arrival of her fourth grandchild, due June 2019, child of son Christopher Hawkins and his wife Melissa. Diane was most happy when spending time with her family, swimming and fishing on the beach of Siesta Key, FL or sledding in the snow of the NC mountains. Diane truly lived life to the fullest, loved to laugh and to make others laugh. She knew no strangers and made life long, lasting relationships with everyone she met. She was the "Go To" gal when you needed an ear to listen, a shoulder to cry on, or a friend to laugh with. She was deeply loved and will be missed by her husband, family and friends.
