June 16, 1949-November 22, 2024
Born to John and Ernestine Bettendorf on June 16, 1949. Married Mark P Carlson on January 31, 1969.
Farmed the Carlson Family Dairy Farm West of Finlayson for 8 years. Moved to Buffalo Wyoming for 2 years and then back to Finlayson in 1979. Worked at a variety of jobs including Minnesota Panel Systems. Returned to college and earned a Bachelors Degree in Communications. Editor of the Pine County Courier for 5 years. A midlife crisis led to the creation of LaRose Greenhouse & Nursery, which was a successful endeavor for 29 years. Volunteer and Board member for 35 years for Members Credit Union.
Enjoyed lots of travel, food and friends
Survived by Husband Mark of 55 years, daughters Jodi Carlson Grebinoski (Joe), Amie Hendrie (Chris), Son Chad Carlson (Lisa). Grandkids Grace and Brock Hendrie. Exchange Grandkids, Eileen, Samson, Mo, Laura and Gui. Father, John Bettendorf, Sister, Gail Bettendorf. And many close family and friends.
Proceeded in death by Mother, Ernestine, In-Laws, Vallie and Palmer Carlson, Brother, John Bettendorf and many close friends.
Join us to Celebrate Dianne's life on Saturday, November 30, 2024 from 12pm-2pm at the Finlayson-Giese Community Center, Finlayson, MN

The best water skier on Pine Lake....I envied her as I could not ski. I was proud of my my cousin.
Sincere sympathy to Mark and family. I am in Arizona and will not be able to attend.

Dianne was always barefoot, grounded and full of information. She spent hours with me when we went to the greenhouse to buy our apple trees. She hand picked all of the trees, and explained everything from planting, to pruning. I think of her every time they bloom and produce. So grateful.

Dianne had an open heart, ready to love all whose lives crossed hers. Her hearty laugh still rings in my memory and I´ll never forget the beauty of her well-manicured gardens.
