Dianne Judd Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Sep. 21, 2025.
Dianne Judd, 74, of Lubbock, TX, passed away on September 1, 2025, surrounded by her family.

Born on October 13, 1950, in Fort Sill, OK, Dianne attended Lubbock Christian College and lived a full life in Oklahoma, Childress, TX; Santa Fe and Albuquerque, NM; Portland, OR; Phoenix, AZ; and Lubbock, TX. She worked as a nurse staffing manager and devoted countless hours to volunteer service, including reading tutoring for elementary students in Hillsboro, OR, volunteering at the University Medical Center Cancer Center in Lubbock, Honor Health Breast and Research Center in Phoenix, and tirelessly supporting her granddaughters' school and extracurricular activities through PTO and Booster Club events.

Dianne will be remembered for her love of family, friends, children, and dogs - especially her cherished Cocker Spaniel, Freckle.

Despite a health scare at 47 that left her disabled, she was always ready for an adventure and willing to try almost anything once. She lived every minute to the fullest, always declaring, "My middle name is Go."

She never went a day without her favorite comforts: a splash of coffee with French vanilla creamer, Diet Coke, chocolate, and a glass of Chardonnay. Her passion for cooking and baking brought joy to all who knew her, especially her famous Christmas care packages.

Always thoughtful, positive, and compassionate, Dianne put others first and loved unconditionally. Her spirit, laughter, and generosity will be deeply missed but forever carried in the hearts of those fortunate to know her.

She is survived by her daughter, Amy Forman, and her husband Kirk; granddaughters Marissa and Allison; sister Kim Judd; brothers Corky Judd (Pam) and Jay Judd (Kelli); nieces Molly Gallegos (Albee) and Maggie Molitor (Kyle); nephews Ethan Judd, Jake Judd, Miles Gallegos, and Royce Gallegos; and many dear friends and extended family. She was preceded in death by her parents, Auther and Jean, and her sister-in-law, Jennifer.

Dianne's life will be celebrated on Saturday, October 25th, from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at Homewood Suites by Hilton Albuquerque Uptown, 7101 Arvada Ave NE, Albuquerque, NM 87110.

In place of flowers, the family kindly requests that memorial contributions be made to Dolly Parton's Imagination Library (donate.imaginationlibrary.com) in Dianne's memory.

The family wishes to thank the nurses and caregivers at Covenant Medical Center in Lubbock for their compassion and care of our beloved mom, Grammy, sister, aunt, and friend.

I so sorry to hear about Diane. I have known her through the years, as I worked with Kim. I never saw her not happy and smiling. Many prayers to the family.

My dearest Judd family, there are not enough words to express my sadness over the loss of my friend of close to 50 years. The fun we had in our youth lasted til our old age antics. She was so much fun . In spite of her disabilities nothing stopped her from doing anything. My shopping , drinking wine, movie, traveling, concerts, and casino partner when she lived in Albq. I will always be grateful for. My children and grandsons adored her. She always came over with cookies or her famous lemon bars for them. Will miss and love you forever my friend. So thankful you were in my life.

This was my Auntie Diane who I loved so much. With all my heart. I remember when me my Brother were little we used to go and stay with my uncle and auntie in Santa Fe in the summer. She took us to go see our first drive in movie. La Bamba , and Robocop. That shows how long ago that was. Then when we went to live in Oregon again she took us to our first concert. Toni, Tony, Tony. She loved us so unconditionally, My aunt Diane always had the best attitude that inspired me in my live till this day. I know she was a Judd but a Casaus as well. I was talking to her this year and I was so glad to connect with her and send her pictures of my family, because it´s those who made an impact in your life, that reassure you that we did good as adults. I miss you so much auntie. Give my dad a hug. I love you so much.
