Dianne Morris Obituary
Funeral service will be held Sunday, October 14, 2012 at 3 o'clock at James A. Dyal Funeral Home Oakbrook Chapel, 11000 Dorchester Road, Summerville. Burial will follow at Dorchester Memory Gardens, 11000 Dorchester Road, Summerville. Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to: Grace Home for Woman, PO Box 407, Santee, SC 29142 or Wounded Warriors Project, PO Box 758517, Topeka, Kansas 66675.
Di was born July 27, 1947 in Summerville, daughter of the late Mayrant H. Sweat and Alice Cone Sweat. She loved her family; especially her grandchildren, who were the apple of her eye. She loved shopping, talking and the United States Air Force. She was a loving mother, sister, grandmother and aunt, who will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
Surviving are: one daughter: Kelly Helmey Purcell (Rob) of Mount Pleasant, two grandchildren: Reece Dylan Purcell and Kendall Mason Purcell both of Mount Pleasant, one sister and two brothers: Marie Sweat Hill (Renny) of Lebanon, Wayne M. Sweat (Mary) of Summerville and Glenn R. Sweat (Grace) of Orangeburg, nieces and nephews: Molly, Rusty, Amy, Cale, and Brandy, great nephews and nieces: Craig, Brent, Landon, Sandra Gail, Logan and Leah and one great great niece: Faith, step nieces and nephews: Lesley, Matt, Justin, Susanna, Matt, Jr., Abby, Aubrey and Austin.

we little knew that morning God was going to call your name. In life we loved you dearly, In death we do the same.
It broke our hearts to lose you, but you did not go alone, for part of us went with you the day God called you home.
You left us beautiful memories, and your love is still our guide. And though we cannot see you, You are always at our side.
Our family chain is broken, and nothing seems the same, but as God calls us one by one, the chain will link again.
