I visited Carvers last night and learned of Dianne's passing from the lovely frame full of photos on the counter. I only knew her as a customer - she was always calm, professional and looked you right in the eye. I'll miss seeing her there behind the counter, and hope her family is doing well.

Jen and family,

I was saddened to get the e-mail today from my parents. She was a wonderful woman, mom, grandmother, and of course, co-worker as I knew her. I loved her great laugh and smile and sense of humour. Jen, I have great memories of working with your Mom at Carver's. She was a special person. My thoughts and prayers are with you, Kayla and your family.

Aunt Margaret, Kimberley, Jennifer, John Kevin and Families

Nick, the kids and I are deeply sadden by Dianne’s passing. One minute you are on the phone updating me about her progress after the surgery and then the next minute you are telling me, “she’s gone”. Your daughter/mom was a great pillar of strength for me over the years. Whenever I needed her help, or an ear she was always there for me with no questions asked. I have very fond memories of Dianne and I will think of her always. Life was not always fair to her but she never let it get her down. I love you Dianne and I am comforted to know you are now in heaven. Many of our cousins have commented on her laugh, and how that is what they will remember the most. I too will remember Dianne for her laugh because it came from somewhere deep inside her, and it could warm the chilliest of days. I can even hear it now! Kim, Jen and J.K., just know if you ever need anything or just want to talk I am a phone call away as your mother was for me for many years.

Love,

Pauline

Dearest Aunt Margaret, Kimberley, Jennifer, John Kevin and families;

I was shocked and deeply saddened to hear of the passing of your dear daughter, mother and grandmother, Dianne. Please accept my, Rachael’s, Matthew’s and Lauren’s sincerest condolences. Since hearing this sad news I've been thinking of Dianne and passing through my memories of her. As Katie expressed, it is her laughter that has been most predominant in my mind. I can almost hear her. I'm also thinking of how hard Dianne worked throughout her life. All that hard work surely earned her a special place in heaven. Know that God took her quickly to spare her any suffering. I know she gave so much to her children, grandchildren and parents alike. I know she loved you all so very much and I know your love for her was profound. My prayers are for each of you to journey quickly past your sorrow to wonderful memories of a selfless mother, grandmother and daughter. My prayers for Dianne are that she may have peaceful rest in heaven and the joy to look down upon you all and smile when you smile, sing when you sing, laugh when you laugh, and when you cry, to rain her spirit down upon you and assure you that everything will be alright.

All my love, Maria

WHEN I HEARD OF YOUR PASSING I TOOK OUT MY BOOK OF WEDDING PICTURES TO GAZE UPON YOUR BEAUTIFUL SMILING FACE AND THOUGHT BACK TO OUR MANY OUTINGS WHEN YOU WERE JUST A LITTLE TYKE AND PEOPLE WOULD STOP AND SAY YOUR LITTLE GIRL LOOKS JUST LIKE YOU AND I WOULD SMILE AND SAY THANK YOU IT MADE ME FEEL SO GOOD THAT THEY THOUGHT YOU WERE MINE. To My Special Friend,

We only met six years ago but we have shared a life time of memories. I can never forget those late nights of watching Holmes on Homes or the Hamilton Tiger-Cats chances of victory. I will always remember our Saturday trips to Winners, Wal-Mart and of course our new love, Costco. Although you did not give birth to me, you loved and cared for me as if I were your own. You brought me soup when I was sick and yelled at me when I skipped school. I am going to miss that special card I could count on for every holiday and the little treats from the store. You have been there for me through good times and bad and I know this will never change. I promised you that I would take good care of J.K. and I will do my best to make you proud. Bye for now my precious angel and say hello to my mom.

Miss and love you, Chrissy xoxox

I miss you mom more than I can say. My heart is so empty now I don't know what to do. I know that you are in a better place now and that you are finally at peace. I love you and will miss you every day of my life.

Aunt Margaret, Kimberley, Jennifer, John Kevin and Families,

We were so shocked and saddened to hear that Dianne passed-away and we send our deepest sympathies to you and yours. We are sorry that we are unable to attend the funeral but please know that we are there with you in heart and spirit. I smile as I think of Dianne’s laughter; I can hear it clearly. I know that there will be many wonderful stories to share at this time of celebration of her life and we will be thinking of all of you during this special time. Because:

No one comes from the earth
like grass.
We come
like trees.

We all
have roots.

Because we are family,
we share a bond,
we share a love,
that will last a lifetime.

Thinking of you,
Hugs and Love,
