Dolores Achenbach

Our families were neighbors for many years, and Dolores and I grew up together. I have not been at home for a month, and am very sorry to have missed her funeral. My daughter, who is a copy editor at the Times, always saves the obits for me, ahd that is how I learned of her passing. Dolores was a very dear friend, and even though we haven't been in touch lately I will miss her very much.
