Dolores De Lisa Obituary
Born in Trenton, Dolores was a lifelong Trenton resident. She was a food service manager for the Trenton Board of Education (Junior Three) where she retired after 25 years of service. Dolores enjoyed all sports, and going to all of her grandchildren's sporting events. She enjoyed cooking, especially the Sunday family dinners, trips to Atlantic City, and most of all, spending quality time with her family and grandchildren.
Daughter of the late Carl and Doris Felty LeJambre, and sister of the late Lorraine Welsh, Carl, Douglas and Howard LeJambre, she is survived by her loving husband of 58 years, John M. De Lisa of Trenton; one daughter and son-in-law, Doreen and John Russo of Hamilton; three sons and three daughters-in-law John and Theresa De Lisa of Pennington, Anthony and Cherese De Lisa, and Dean and Kelly De Lisa all of Hamilton; nine grandchildren, Erica Russo Witzel (Daniel), Ryan, Paige, Gabriel, Justin, Tori, Carly, Danielle and Gabriella De Lisa; one great-grandson, Luca Witzel; one sister, Carol Belza of Hamilton; one brother-in-law, Anthony De Lisa of Santa Ana, Calif.; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
The funeral will be held at 8:15 a.m. Tuesday at the M. William Murphy Funeral Home, 1863 Hamilton Ave., Hamilton. Visit www.murphyfh.com. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 9:30 a.m. at St. Anthony's Church, S. Olden Ave., Hamilton. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery, Cedar Lane, Hamilton. Calling hours will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
Flowers and Mass cards are welcomed, or donations may be made in memory of Dolores to the Scleroderma Foundation, 300 Rosewood Dr. Suite 105, Danvers, MA 01923.

to sit here and think about something to write about my gram is unimaginable. the thought that she isnt with me anymore is not real. the fact that im writing it now that shes gone and she will not know the things im about to say make me very angry. she should be hearing how amazing she really was. it shouldnt be written in past tense, it should have been said in the present. the truth is there isnt a word good enough to describe what a remarkable person she really was. she was the glue that kept our family together weekly for dinner. she was the rock we all would lean on whenever our day was bad. she was our cheerleader for whatever we were doing. she was our supporter when we needed supporting. she was our strength when we thought we had none. she was by our side when we didnt think we needed her. these are just a few of her qualities that made her wonderful but to me she was my everything. i was her first grandchild for many years so i was lucky enough to have had her for so long with out having to share her. it was then that i knew i had a bond with her that know one would ever be able to break. she stood by my side in my worst of times and of course through my best. never did she ever put herself or her feelings before anyone elses, not even a stranger on the street. knowing this about her, i would always put her and her feelings above everyone elses because i know if i didnt she never would. as much as i knew she cared about her family is as hard as i tried to love her right back, if not more. im dying inside without her and i cant stand the fact that i cant wake up every morning and call her like i used to with a simple "hey gram, what are ya doing." my heart hurts and is broken forever because not only did i lose my gram, i lost my best friend. i lost a part of me. she has been my world since the day i was born. she has never left my side since the day i came into this world and i truly dont know what im going to do with out her next to me...

Doreen, John, Tony and Dean, So sorry to hear about your Mom's passing. She was a wonderful woman and always so nice to me , Will and Ellie while we were all living on Emmett Avenue. Your Mom also was also so very caring and considerate of my Grandparents, Michael and Barbara Zimmer.
