Dominic (Dom) Joseph Carone

Dom passed away peacefully with his family by his side on October 14th 2024. He was the youngest of eight children, born and raised in Martinez by his parents, Carmelo and Maria Carone. Dom attended Alhambra High School, excelling in both football and basketball. His competitive spirit and

teamwork created lifelong friendships. After graduating, Dom proudly served in the Army, an experience that shaped his character. He was also an artist at heart. He loved painting and drawing and he

attended Art School to enhance his skills. Dom was married to Sharon Truitt for twelve years, during which they had two children. After a brief career as a fireman, he became a successful hairstylist and

salon owner for many years until his retirement. A true entertainer, Dom loved karaoke. He could often be found belting out classic tunes, particularly those of his

idols, Elvis Presley and Frank Sinatra. A devoted 49ers fan, he never missed a game. He also enjoyed sharing stories from his childhood and his time in

the Army with family and friends. He was preceded in death by his two sons, Ronnie and Joey Carone, and his siblings: brothers Carmelo and

Nino, and sisters Tina, Rose, Connie, Annie and Minnie. He is survived by his daughter, Leslie De Hope (Steve), grandsons Ryan (Ashlee), Shane (Karianne), and Dylan, four great-grandchildren Charlotte, Elliot, Reid, and Hazel, many nieces and nephews, longtime friends and his beloved dog of thirteen years,

Benny. Above all, Dom was known for his loving and caring nature and love for his family. His kindness touched the lives of many. He will be greatly missed by all who knew

him. Most of all, his family. He will live forever in our Hearts.

Love you always. A memorial mass will be held in his honor, November

15, 2024, at 10:00 AM at Saint Catherine of Siena Church, followed by a celebration of life at Morello Hills

Christian Center both in Martinez.
