Dominick Calderone Obituary
AGE: 86 • Whitehouse
Dominick Frank Calderone, Sr., 86, died on May 11, 2014. He was born in South Plainfield, NJ on August 12, 1927 to his dear parents Elisa Fortza and Peter Calderone. Dominick was the Supervisor of the Maintenance Department for the Bound Brook Board of Education in Bound Brook NJ for over 25 years; served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War; was a life-time member of the V.F.W. Manville Post #2290 and American Legion Post #12. He enjoyed playing cards, going to garage sales, midnight ice cream runs, and was an antique collector. Dominick was a kind, caring, generous person, and will be sadly missed by all who knew him.
Dominick is survived by his children, Dominick Calderone Jr. of Bound Brook, Mary Calderone of Green Brook, and Debbie Momrock of Lebanon; five grandchildren, Russell Calderone and wife Bonnie, Danielle and Frank D. Momrock, Dominick III and Anthony Calderone; two great-grandchildren, Dylan Lukela and Brandi Lana Calderone; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was predeceased by three brothers, Peter, Louis, Hugo; and four sisters, Susie, Edith, Jean, and Mary.
Viewing will be held on Friday, May 16, 2014 from 4:00 to 8:00 pm at the Bongiovi Funeral Home, 416 Bell Avenue, Raritan, NJ 08869 (908-725-1887). Burial is private.

Dear Poppy,

Dominick was a influential person in my life. We both loved searching for the next deal. For many years Dominick and I scoured the local area for items of interest. He and I had great times togeather. He helped me find my first truck (which I still have). He also helped me find my first home (two family). He convinced me that a two family home with large garage was the way to go. Extra income from rental and lots of storage for my junk. Dominick and I were kindred spirits in the junk world. I will miss him and always carry him with me.
