Don Gunnell Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Oct. 25, 2024.
With great sadness, we announce the passing of Don Michael Gunnell, a devoted husband, dad, papa, son, brother, and uncle, who left us on October 14, 2024. Don's life was a testament to love, strength, and the enduring bonds of family.

He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Peggy Gunnell, whom he loved more than anything. Together, they raised a beautiful family that includes their children Trista and Jason, Mandi and Cory, and Savanna and Kevin. Don's favorite child, his loyal dog Jake, was always by his side. He is also missed by his mother, Marcia, and his siblings Bonnie and Jon, and David and Peggie. Don's legacy will live on through his grandchildren, who were his true pride and joy, Drew and Andraya, Wyatt, Natalie, Taylor, Marlee, Leann, Kayleigh, Bennett, and Easton. His love for them was endless and he cherished every moment spent with them. Don's family takes great comfort knowing he has been reunited with his dad, Larry, in Heaven.

As a lover of the great outdoors, Don enjoyed hunting, camping and days spent on the water. Above all, he treasured the times when his family gathered together. Whether it was watching Sunday football or a family celebration, his presence was unmistakable and his big voice filled the room with warmth and energy.

Throughout his life, Don inspired many through the hard lessons he learned and the resilience he demonstrated. He uplifted others with his strength and unwavering spirit, leaving a lasting impact on everyone he met. Please join Don's family in honoring his memory at a celebration of his life on November 2, 2024, at 4:00 PM, to be held at 6341 W Wagoner Rd, Glendale, AZ.

Don will be deeply missed, but his spirit will forever remain in the hearts of all of us who loved him.
