I'm glad you reminded me about Don . He helped me at US Steel and was my Tennis Partner and at times my oppositon. Never had a bad day and was easy to like. Rest at peace Don .

To Don's Family: I worked with him briefly at General Dynamics before he changed careers. Don was a joy with whom to work, with a fantastic sense of humor, always a positive outlook, and an exceptional writing ability. I'm glad he lived a successful and obviously happy life, and offer my most heartfelt condolences to his family.

Mavis,
I'm so very sorry to learn of Don's passing. He was really an extraordinary and talented guy. I so well remember our good times together at General Dynamics, as well as all those swim meets (RIver Bend vs Robin Hill) long ago. I met someone (sorry, can't recall her name) who was a member of your River Blenders and she had high praise for you. I learned a lot from Don and share your grief. It was a sad day when he left us for Marathon Oil.
With prayers for you and your family.

To Don's Family: I worked with Don in U. S. Steel's Public Affairs Department from his arrival in Pittsburgh until his retirement. We played in some Good Fellowship golf & tennis outings, but I was nowhere near the caliber of player that Don was. We all enjoyed his quick wit and I'm personally sorry to learn of his loss. My sympathy to your entire family.

To Don Herring's Loving Family:
Our prayers and condolences go out to your families big loss of Don. He was a terrific friend and student pal at Marshall Public High School. I remember him so vividly at our 50th class reunion and what a great tribute he gave our fallen classmates and present ones. We will miss him very much.
