He was a good one. Always loved seeing him in Pacolet on his semi annual bush hogging that what he would say when he would come get a haircut.

Don truly left a mark on every life he touched. I spent several years in his company at East Tennessee State, and while he had his wild and crazy moments, he was always most entertaining with his unexpected witty interjections in any conversation. He actually was a very deep thinking person. I stayed in touch with him for a long time and his proudest moments always revolved around his growing family. He really was a one of a kind special man. My deepest condolences to his entire loving family, especially to my friend Susan.
