Don Shipley Obituary

Donald E Shipley, died in his home, in Cape Coral, Florida, November 13th at 9:00am. He was surrounded by his family.

He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Carol Joan Shipley; his son 61 Michael Robert and his daughter Linda Louise 59.

Of his eight brothers and sisters he is survived by, Maxiam Brookhart, Lana Fate, Marti Horvath, Carl Shipley and Joan Gustafson.

He was a Korean War Vet, serving in the USN on board the USS Bataan with HONOR.

He was a Retired Union Craftsman, in the Cape Coral/ Florida area. Building many hospitals and power plants and other large projects here and in other parts of the country. His son Michael follows in his footsteps.

Funeral Service will be 10 am on Saturday at Coral Ridge Funeral Home, with Military Honors and burial to follow at Coral Ridge Cemetery. Please visit www.coralridgefuneralhome.com to leave thoughts and memories for his family.

My husband and I were friends with Don and Carol since before their wedding. I have many fond memories of Don. He will be greatly missed.

I will miss my friend and neighbor of 27 years. In addition to being a proud husband, father, and brother, Don was a proud American and Navy serviceman. The world has lost a wonderful man.
