Don Thomas Obituary
Don Philip "Donny" Thomas, 51, of Kemah, Texas passed away November 28, 2009 after a valiant battle with cancer. He was preceded in death by his father Maj. (Ret). V.H. (Tom) Thomas. He is survived by his mother Flo I. Thomas of Houston; sons Don Thomas II, Garret Thomas and Jody Thomas; his grandson Benedict Manuel Nevares-Thomas; sister Dianne Buck and husband Sheldon; nephews Scott Buck, Michael Buck and wife Tara, Shawn Buck and wife Holli. Also surviving is his special loving companion Brandy Howard; sidekicks William "Big" Bill Manley and James "Porkchop" Delesandri; and many friends and business associates. He was the owner of Blumar of Texas Inc., Waterside Services Inc., and Rhino Carriers Inc. He has been in the marine industry for 28 years, where he started out as a boarding agent. He loved riding his Harley, driving his golf cart around the island and having his friends and family around. He will be truly missed. Memorial services will be held Saturday, December 5, 2009, at 10:00 a.m. in the chapel of Forest Park East Funeral in Webster. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Toys for Tots, Armed Forces Reserve Center, 14555 Scholl Street, Houston, Texas, 77034, 713-503-5141.
