I am wondering if this is the same Donna Poole who worked at the dinner theater at the Major's Inn in the mid 1970s. She was a wonderful person -- caring and giving -- with a wonderful sense of humor. She served as a hostess for the dinner theater and added considerable class to the operation. She got along extremely well with the other employees and was a joy to know and work with. My condolences to Donna's friends and family.

I want to extend my sympathy to the entire Poole family. I met Dona many years ago thru my daughter, Tammy. She was one of the most fun loving people I have ever known. She had a huge heart and always seemed to find a way to help others even when she was in need herself. I also realize by reading her obit. in the Star that Donald Gilbert was her father. I attended Gilbertsville Central School when I was young and Donald was also a student there at that time. I never knew that she was his daughter until I read the obit. I want you to know how very much I enjoyed all the times I spent with Donna in years past and she was a bright spot in my life.

To Dona's family, I am sorry for your loss. I spent some time with and got to know Dona a few years ago, as she was friends with my father, who also has passed. She was a pleasure to get to know and had a wonderful sense of humor.

I have many fond memories of Dona thru the years of my working at Tri Town News in Sidney. First meet her when she worked in advertising sales in Bainbridge, her work at Village Florist and trips I took when she was a hostess always had a smile. Most recently enjoyed visiting with her many times seeing her at the Value Way Store in Gilbertsville on Sundays. Sympathy to the family. Anna
