Just recently learned of Don's passing and wanted to say to the family how sorry I was learning of his passing back in 2018. As a younger person at that time in the '50s, '60s' and '70s, he made a pretty huge impression on me, always interested in what I was doing in my life.
My first cousin, Ina, and he were married way back in the early '50s, and for many years we celebrated family gatherings together. Don even attended a couple of my band performances when I had that going years ago.
The children they had, Donna and Don, Jr., I was closer to because of our similar ages, and last couple years Donna has become so very popular with her two sons, Jason and Travis Kelce, outstanding, great NFL football players. I so happy for Donna and all the attention and notoriety as a resul. I'm sure Don couldn't have been prouder for their success as NFL professional players. Him and I often talked football that we both played back in our high school and college days.
Don, Jr. had a personality similar to his dad's, very friendly and easy to to talk to. So once again, my sypathies to the family, and if either Donna or Don, Jr. would like to call me, I'd love hearing from either of them. I'm at (216) 357-7128 , office or cell, (440) 227-9400. George J. Staiduhar
