Donald Boswell Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Aug. 18, 2024.
Donald Wayne "Shorty" Boswell of Bronte & San Angelo went to be with his wife on Friday Aug. 16 2024.

Donald was born on Dec. 10 1939 to Jesse Boswell and Nova Kile in Allen, OK. Donald enjoyed Fishing, family and cold beer. Donald owned and operated his own concrete company for over 40 years before retiring. Donald married Cynthia "Sug" Boswell March 7 1959 and she was the love of his life.

Donald is preceded in death by his parents Jesse & Nova, wife Cynthia "Sug" Boswell, sons Gary & Walter, daughter Sandra, grandson Ayden Clark and sister Peggy.

Donald is survived by his grandson Jason "Boswell" Carda of SC, Renee & Jason Clark of San Angelo, Shane Boswell of San Angelo, CJ and Jace of TX, Brother Kenneth of Killeen, and a sister of Lubbock. Many great grand children.

First hand note from Donald: I had the pleasure of having some really great family in my life and some not so good "but all you can do about that is not worry and keep on smiling". I am on my way to see "Sug" now and I cant wait. I have about a good 10 years of back side chewing's she has saved for me. I leave this place knowing I got to enjoy all the great things it had to offer from love to laughs and was able to always navigate the hard times and still could smile. There was never a day I did not miss my best friend and thought about her often. I do not leave this world a better man but a grateful and well loved man. The two pieces of advice I leave for ya'll is this:

1. There is nothing greater to love and to be loved it will get you through some of the toughest times.

2. There is nothing a Coors or Keystone can't fix after a long day.

Lastly, Take care of each other and stay connected us Boswell's are stronger together than apart. To my brother in-law Kenneth thanks for being a good friend and neighbor all these years it sure helped pass the time. To my grandson Jason Thank you for taking care of me and watching over me these past years, from taking the time to give me haircuts so I could look good for the gals at the post office or the adventures you took me on helping me feel young at heart even for a moment. I know this was not going to be an easy job but I know I am in good hands with you and you will see it through to the end.

I love you all, Don't cry to long for me. I am enjoying myself with "Sug" where the beer is free and there are plenty of breezes to catch.

A direct burial per Donald's wishes will take place Aug. 29 2024 at 11am located at Lawnhaven memorial gardens San Angelo. 4989 FM Highway 1223.
