BROWN Please Sign the Guestbook @ Jacksonville.com Donald R. Brown, 70 of Fernandina Beach, Florida died Tuesday November 29, 2011 at his residence. He was born in Dover, New Hampshire and served in the United States Navy for twenty two years, retiring as a Chief Petty Officer in 1979. He worked for thirteen years in the shipbuilding industry as an engineer and was on the design team for the Arleigh Burke class destroyers at Bath, Maine. He was a Real Estate Broker in Jacksonville before moving to Fernandina Beach in 1998. His daughter Kelly Ann Boshea passed away in 2010. He leaves behind his wife, Darlene T. Brown, his son Phillip Gregory Brown of Jacksonville, Fl., his step-son Burton Glen Packard of Waldoboro, Me., his brother Gregory B. Brown of Casco, Me., and sister Theresa Brown of S. Portland, Me. nine Grandchildren and two Great Grandchildren. A Celebration of his life will be held 1:00 PM Sunday at the Burgess Chapel of Oxley-Heard with Father Robert Hanlon, officiating. He will be laid to rest at Jacksonville National Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Alcoholic Service Center, Inc., 20 West Fourth Street, Jacksonville, Fl. 32206. Don, You were always so giving and loving to me as a child. I know you will be watching over and making sure we get rid of Obama Hussien in the next election. Ask Jesus to protect us and watch over us. We love you and miss you. If you knew my uncle please e-mail me and tell me about him. We were fortunate to have Don and Darlene as our neighbors for eight years when we lived in Fernandina Beach. Don's willingness to stop and visit as he was on his way somewhere were always enjoyable. We are saddened by his passing and send our prayers to Darlene and her entire family.
