Don Smith
September 19, 2010
Don And I kept in touch via email. I will miss his daily messages of humor, current events, life experiences, etc. His younger days in the USN aboard the USS Boyd (USS544) and his USAF days in in Cold Bay Alaska and other stations.
Having worked with him for many years, I found him to be a very caring person.
I will sincerely miss him. My heart goes out to all his family members.

Pam and I extend our most heart-felt condolences to Roger, Cynthia and Donald. Don was our brother-in-law and we were quite concerned about his quality of life after my sister passed. We are pleased his children were able to respond so wonderfully and be together for his service. Don was one of the "good guys" and we shall miss him greatly. He's at peace now and has joined the love of his life, Donna, in a better place.

My sincere sympathy goes to Roger, Cynthia, and Donald and their families in the loss of their dad. Being Don’s cousin, I miss him tremendously, also. (Don's father and my mother were siblings.) I always enjoyed our get-togethers and the long conversations that we had. In addition, I have warm memories of the times that we spent together as children. Don will stay alive in our hearts. "To live in hearts we leave behind is not to die."

Dear Family,
We can never be separated from those we love because God leaves us with memories to hold and love that doesn't pass away. In time we realize that our loved one lives on - not only in heaven but within our hearts.
"Your days of morning will come to an end." Isaiah 60:20
Lovingly,
Cynthia Occhipinti
(Don's daughter)
