Cummings, Donald Otis 1/9/1928 - 12/25/2020 Cummings, Donald Otis, age 92 of Flushing, MI, died December 25, 2020 at his residence. Donald was born in 1928, the son of William and Betty Cummings and brother of Mary Jo (Thrower) and Keith. He attended Flint Central High School and Michigan State University. Don was married to Bernadette Mary Drew, his one true love, for 68 years. She preceded him in death on September 8, 2016. Together they co-founded Cummings Property Management, Inc. Don's primary avocation in life was raising his family and teaching them to love the outdoors. He was passionate about hunting, fishing, and sports and often told his children, "If you can read about it, you can do it." He and Bernie traveled, sailed, and immersed themselves in the Florida Keys. Surviving are children Donna (James) Williams, Kay (Rick) Bushey, Barbara (Mark) Amsler, Michael (Wanda) Cummings, Matthew (Caron Seward) Cummings, Robert (Jan) Cummings, Mary Eckert, Joni (Dave) Grager, grandchildren Elizabeth (Armando Luna) Williams, Brent (Kirsten Wright) Bushey, Joseph (Sarah) Bushey, Brian (Erika) Bushey, Ryan (Jennifer) Amsler, Brynn (Trevor) Hawks, Ben (Maggie) Cummings, Sam (Sara) Cummings, Max Cummings, Kevin Cummings, Scott (Michele) Cummings, Theresa Cummings, Emily Cummings, Aaron (Lauren) Cummings, Daniel Cummings, Patrick Cummings, Phillip Eckert, and 15 great-grandchildren. Don was also predeceased by sons Drew and Philip Cummings, grandson Zack Medemar, and son-in-law Chuck Eckert. The family wishes to acknowledge the superior care Don received at the hands of Thelma, Charlene, Erika, Mary, Kali and Connie. There will be no funeral service at this time.
