Many years ago when I worked and lived in Lake Charles, I had the privilege meeting Don. We played some golf together and I always admired him for his dedication to law enforcement. May his soul rest in peace. Prayers to the family.

Bigger than life is my best description of (CMF) Chief Don Dixon. To my one time roommate, golf partner, and friend, I love you, miss you, and will never forget the impact you made on me. The world is less safe, and a lot dimmer without you. I can’t believe you’re gone. Rest In Peace brother.

I was Don's supervisor from 1996 to the time of his retirement from the FBI. At the time I took the job I knew Don mainly by reputation. I quickly realized that the Lake Charles Resident Agency was in fine hands with Don at the helm. He had a knack for blending the needs of the citizens of Lake Charles with the mission of the FBI. As the years went by I considered Don to be more of a friend than a colleague or co-worker. I had complete faith and trust in him as an FBI agent and a human being. Don and I had a long phone call about six months ago. We reminisced and looked back on our days working and playing, at times, in Louisiana. I will always treasure the memory of that conversation. I am devastated that Don is no longer with us. However, his legacy will live on in Lake Charles forever.

My thoughts and prayers are with the Dixon family. Agent Dixon was a true law enforcement professional with unwavering commitment to justice. It was always a pleasure to work along side Agent Dixon while closing in on the bad guys. Rest In Peace.

Don was a great person dedicated to his profession, friends and family. Surely left a void to fill. We’ve been friends for 25 + years and it hard to digest.
