I am shocked and heartbroken. I met Don while we were both stationed in Yakota Japan while in th Air Force. He had gone to dental a school in my hometown,Morgantown, WV. It is a small world. Don and I had become close friends but lost contact with each other over the last several years. I will always cherish our times together. May my special friend Rest In Peace. Love you❤❤

Just heard today that Dr. Donald Edwards had past away if its hadn't been for Dr. Edwards I wouldn't still have my husband John because he'd stopped breathing on him during oral surgery and he'd knew what he'd needed to do to keep him here with us, plus who to send him to for his breathing issues. I have known him for over 20 plus years almost all of us one time or another had oral surgery from him, he's was most dedicated Dr. and Caring as far as this scared to death patient went, knew how to handle my fears and took the best care of everyone of us in our family from removing Wisdom Teeth from my 15 year old Son Matthew, to several teeth badly infected in my mouth over the years always very gentle and caring person. I'm going to miss him. I loved to talk about my sea creatures that I was painting up to others that I had painted in the past on tee shirts to other animals and other activities that my boys and husband and I had done in our travels. I'm going to miss him in our lives. So sorry that we'd didn't know before now. If Dr. Paul Bakule hadn't retired on me this month I would have not known Dr. Donald Edwards passing his nurse in the offices told me today of his passing so I'd was in complete shock of this news. I'm sure he's enjoying heaven with all our friends, family and loved ones who have gone before us, my dog Morning Mist Ranger is having a ball having fun with him up there God Bless you all I'll keep you all in our prayers

I just heard of his passing. I saw him a few weeks ago at a restaurant. He was a wonderful surgeon and a kind man. Dr Edwards took good care of my children, always made a point of personally calling to check on them after surgery. My condolences.

I am so sorry to hear of the passing of Dr. Edwards. I loved him as my oral surgeon and also as a person. He seemed to be a godly man and happy to share his love for Jesus Christ with me while I was in his office. I trusted that man with my life. First time I met him was an emergency! On Monday July 5, 1992 he literally saved my life! He personally called my home for the next eight days straight (each morning, afternoon, and nights) to check on me until my return appointment. He truly cared about his patients! He was wonderful! I had emergency oral surgery yesterday and needed him so much! I miss him.
A few days before his passing, I almost stopped in his office as I was nearby, but ran out of time. I heard about his passing only a week ago, and was so sad by the news. I would have came to his service to pay my respects. Heaven has another angel! May he enjoy his eternal rest in peace. Sincere condolences to the Edwards' family. God bless.

Thank you Dr. Edwards, for being the most caring doctor I've ever been to. Thank you for acknowledging a most difficult procedure and for referring me to an institution where you knew I would get the best treatment. From the first time I met you when you were starting out with Dr. Fritz through the present, I have always had the highest regard for you. You were exceptional, both as a doctor and a person and I thank God for you.

I had the special opportunity to have had Dr. Edwards as my Oral Surgeon for just a year. While I was a patient of his he was the most caring concerned and a very precise physician. While working with Dr. Edwards on an implant I was diagnosed with cancer in April. When I went to see Dr. Edwards and told him about my most recent medical issue he was very concerned and collaborated with my Oncologist Dr. Michaela Scott before he continued my implant procedure. I feel so fortunate to have had Dr. Edwards take care of me. To his family I extend my sincere condolences on the loss of this wonderful man. Sincerely Barbara Schmidt.

Your tears will be wiped away and you will know only His greatest love. I will miss you very much and I will continue thinking about you until the end of my days.
