I was just thinking of Don recently remembering those Basketball games, Baseball games we both cherished watching the boys compete. Don Gordon was a special man, as he was one that was always open for support and would help you in any way he was able. Doctor Gordon, was also my Gastroenterologist, and I sincerely believe he to be one of the best.
It was Dr. Gordon that recommended ten years ago when prepping for my colonoscopy to have an upper GI done at the same time, something I would never have considered. It was at that time Dr. Gordon found I had Barrett esophagus, a disease that could have gone bad, if I didnt identify at the time. I thank him for his bed side manner and his professionalism. The Medical Profession is certainly at a loss with his passing.
The world is a little less fortunate with his loss, although Im certain he is living the life we all seek. Rest in Peace my Friend, Miss you Brother.
Sincerely,
Brian Mead

Don, I think about you often, I can’t believe it to be 5 years. You were a special Doctor that really was a master at your craft of healing, with a bedside manner unlike most other Doctors. I pray for your family as I know the pain they feel reliving your memory. I can tell you this my friend, as I know you would be beside yourself watching what has happened here in America the last 5 years. As we talked many times, the deep state is alive and well. Rest in Peace my Friend. God Bless ✝

I just learned today from a mutual patient about Don's passing, and am deeply saddened. I knew him professionally and we shared a number of patients for many years. He had incredible medical insight and knowledge, thought deeply about challenging problems, and had tremendous empathy and compassion for his patients. He was rightly proud of his relationships with his patients, who always expressed affection and admiration for him, and I am not surprised at the many wonderful tributes to him from patients on this website. We had many hours of enjoyable conversations about our practices and our families. His passing is a huge loss to the medical community. My heartfelt condolences to his family.

As my brother mentioned in an earlier post, we grew up a block from Don and his family. I remember Don very fondly, his laugh was infectious (no pun intended for the doctor). I actually remember walking to grade school with him on occasion and playing together as toddlers. I am very saddened by his passing and wish his family much love and kindness.

I am very saddened and shocked to hear of Dr. Gordon's passing. He was my doctor for many years. I remember him saying to me "don't worry about a thing I take very good care of all the Duracell guys." He spoke very lovingly of his family. A very good man taken too soon.

I have just learned of my Friend Dr Don Gordon passing. I can only say I am in shock, and my heart felt condolences are to his family, wife , children, Mother and all.
I can only say as everyone that knew Don, he was someone that everyone liked. I met Don years ago living in Ridgefield, and his son Jeremy and mine played sports through the Ridgefield Youth Basketball, and Baseball. Don has this ingratiating personality, and a mind, that was knowledgeable about allot of different things. I loved to discuss politics , Yankees Baseball ,and Boxing. He called the 08 financial crash a year before.
Dr Gordon , became my gastroenterologist some years ago, and can tell you, I only wish there were more Doctors like Donald Gordon. Dr Gordon was thorough, set expectations accurately, and never took anything for granted. His personality was one that just put you at ease. I remember my last GI Scoping, where I was prepping at the Danbury surgical center for the exam, it was 6:00 AM and Dr Gordon comes in bright eyed , and bushy tail ready to go. He started goofing around with me, just putting me at ease, What a guy. I can sincerely state, he was a man I am happy to have known. GOD REST YOUR SOUL MY FRIEND.
The world, and medical profession is going to miss you my Friend. You were a great man, and it was my pleasure knowing you. My Heartfelt condolences to your Wife , Children and family. I know St Peter welcomed you with open arms. Rest In Peace Don, you will be remembered, and certainly missed. God Bless you and your Family.
Sincerely
Brian Mead

Thank-you Dr Gordon for being the Dr who finally actually listened to my wife's description of symptoms and set to work on figuring it out! You never quit!
You always listened, and weren't afraid to attack the problem at different angles, something others wouldnt.
My wife was called to schedule an appointment today to discuss her excellent progress and was brought to tears at the news of your passing.
May you rest in peace, your excellent work here on earth is complete.
