Donald Charles Leipprandt, 73 of Bad Axe, passed away Monday, January 27, 2014 at Huron Medical Center in Bad Axe. Born in Pigeon on February 4, 1940, he was the son of Oliver C. and Dorothy G. (Armbruster) Leipprandt and was a 1958 Pigeon High School graduate. He was married to Marilyn Murdoch in November, 1958. On August 23, 1980, was united in marriage to Carol A. McBride, who died November 12, 2003. Donald worked in the grocery business for nearly 30 years. He worked at the Pigeon A&P, Value Plus in Bad Axe, the Caseville IGA, Elkton IGA, and owned and operated C & D Market in Elkton. He was a member at Cross Lutheran Church in Pigeon, where he was baptized, confirmed, and had attended school. He had been a 30-year member of the Caseville F.O.E. #3690. Donald enjoyed playing cards, visiting friends and family, and travelling. He dearly loved his grandchildren. He is survived by his children and grandchildren, Scott and Debbie Leipprandt of Texas and children Brian and Christy; Bill and Deborah Leipprandt of Georgia and children Brandon and Alexandria; Connie Shelton of Indiana and children Katie Beth and Sam; Barb and Bill Herford of Elkton and sons Justin, Matt, and Tim; David and Sheila McBride of Pigeon and sons Ryan and Brett; Scott McBride and Bill Mieldazis of California; Annette McBride of Washington and daughter Ashley Licht; and Heather and Pete Drabek of Bad Axe and daughters Maegan and Nicole; and eight great-grandchildren. In addition to his wife, Carol, he was preceded in death by his parents, brother Robert, and son-in-law Donald Bruce. The Funeral Service will be conducted at 12:00 noon on Saturday, February 1, 2014 at the Meyersieck-Bussema Funeral Home, Pigeon, with Rev. Raymond Orth officiating. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society or Our Savior Lutheran Youth Ministry, Bad Axe. VISITATION AT MEYERSIECK-BUSSEMA FUNERAL HOME, PIGEON: Saturday, February 1 9 a.m. until the service at 12 noon
