On the yet another occasion of surprising reflection, I've found the sadness for the family yet a poignant reminder of my long-time and continued respect for Mr. Schiesswohl. My life has long been rewarded by men I admired and tried to emulate, like my father and step-grandfather, and including Mr. Schiesswohl. He was a generous, profound role model for me, when I worked for him in the late 60's and for all these years after.

Dear Schiesswohl family,
My husband showed me the obituary of your father in the Tallahassee Democrat and we both remembered your family with fondness. My father, Paul Hunt, was a Scout Master at Troup 109 at Faith Presbyterian Church with your dad. They served together many years and he spoke of your dad with the utmost respect on many occasions. Your mom was such a sweet person as I recall.. I was the youngest Hunt sibling so I only knew Patti. I think my husband, Dan Mitchell, MD knew Peggy since he is older. Anyhow, wanted to pass on our condolences from the Hunt family down in Tallahassee.

I was saddened to see Mr. Schiesswohl's obituary in the Tallahassee Democrat. I remember him primarily as Patti's father, a gentle, soft-spoken gentleman with a twinkle in his eye. Even then, I knew that he was a person whose heart was always eager to honor and serve others. Requiescat in pace.

So sad to hear this. Mr. Schiesswohl and I worked together in the late 70's at Florida DER (DAWPC), Tallahassee, Florida. He was a true "southern" gentleman that was always so kind and gracious. My thoughts and prayers are with his family.

Patti and Benito - I am sorry for the loss in your family. Your father/father-in-law truly had a life of service to others. You should be very proud.
