Donald Snyder Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Apr. 22, 2025.
Donald Richard "Donnie" Snyder, age 81, passed away on April 21, 2025, in Port Orange, Florida.

Born on July 16, 1943, in Germantown, New York, Don led a life defined by dedication to his work and devotion to his family. His professional journey spanned decades at Sterling Drug-later Sanofi Aventis-where he served as a troubleshooter in the Research and Development Department. Known for his strong work ethic and problem-solving abilities, Don made lasting contributions to the company and earned the respect of his colleagues.

After retiring, Don and his wife of over 60 years, Maureen, relocated to Port Orange, Florida. Retirement brought new adventures as they traveled across the country together. Don also enjoyed indulging in his lifelong passion for trains and cheering on NASCAR races. Above all, he treasured time spent with his grandchildren.

He is lovingly remembered by his daughter Susan Riggs and son-in-law Jim Riggs; and by his grandchildren Savannah Marie Riggs and James Donald Riggs.

He is also survived by cousins John Rector and family, Karen Lawrence and family, and Tommy Koch and family. Nieces, Nephews and many InLaws.

May his memory bring comfort to those who knew him and continue to inspire love and connection among family and friends.

A celebration of Life will be planned in the near future.
