We were so sadden to hear of Don's passing. We're praying for his family and friends. He was an important part in Chuck's life as a scout and later our sons' lives as well. I will never forget our trip with the adult scout leaders to Natural Bridge in Oct. 1974. It frosted so hard it looked like snow. I was so cold I was almost standing in the fire. Don looked at me and stated "Your boots are melting." I responded "Good. Maybe I'll get warm." We saw them (Don & Jeanne) up at Community Church all the time. He will be missed. They don't seem to make people like Don and Jeanne anymore. Don, thank you for all you have done and helped in your lifetime.
With Deepest Regards,
The Pinneys

Sending my love to the family, I'm sorry I could not be there in person.... however in spirit I will be with you as you celebrate his great life. I remember all the camping and outdoor fun we had as kids. Always loved when Uncle Don pulled up in his big station wagon and my 5 (all boys) cousins hopped out for a visit. Always living life to the max, he and Aunt Jeanne were happy and now together again. RIP Uncle Don.

I would like to express condolences to the families of my long time friend Donald. I had grown up with Don from the 3rd grade at Westwood Grade School and New Castle High School. Don and I would celebrate our birthdays together since we were both born on 18th of Feb.1928. In the last few years I have always called him on our birthday and enjoy talking about old times. I was going to call him tomorrow, but received a message from his son Roger telling me he passed away. He will be missed.

The pictures bring back so many memories of the Spencer clan. I remember something Don said when he and Jeanne celebrated their 50th Wedding Anniversary. He looked out at the huge crowd of Spencer's that had gathered for the occasion and realized that, except for the assembled spouses, they were all spawn of the originals - Jeanne and him. He sighed and said quietly to Jeanne, "What have we done??" Well, you both "done" pretty well. Love you both forever. Sue and George Raabe
