I am in shock that I have read this. I was on a website, saw headliners and had to read this for myself. For the family that I grew up with, his wife and children, I am sorry for your loss. Donny was great to be around. He always smiled especially when we played ball together. I left Edgewood the first chance I had and sorry that I did not keep in touch. Please know that I pray for the family and his daughters in this time of need. Don is looking down on them and will make sure that they are guided every step of the way.

Dear Mr. and Mrs. Tomasso,
I wanted to let you know that you raised an incredible son. I met Don through my brother Jason and we had years of great times with Don and Julie. Don and Julie were in Jason and Kristen's wedding and I have very fond memories of the event and wonderful photos of them from that day. My boyfriend Kory and I wanted to express our deepest sympathies to you. Don made you feel like you had known him your whole life. He had an amazing heart and the best sense of humor. I pray for you and your family. May Don rest in peace.
Sincerely,
Shannon Gracia
Dear Julie, Angela and Amanda,
Know that Kory and I love you and are here for you. Whatever you need you just let us know.
Don was the greatest. He made us feel like we knew him his entire life. I can't stop smiling thinking of the Halloween parties at Jay and Kristen's house. To say what has happened is unfair is the biggest understatement ever uttered. Our prayers are with you and your beautiful girls. You have an angel watching over you for all times.
Love,
Shannon Gracia and Kory Medeiros

Don and I went to HS together and we use to joke all the time on myspace about how we first met in the hospital nursery when we were born, of course he reminded me all the time that I was older by a few short hours. I just found out last night and I can hardly believe it. That someone so full of life could be gone so suddenly. My thoughts and prayers go out to his family and friends. Julie if you ever need anything for you or the girls dont hesitate to ask. I may be far away but I will help in any way I can. God bless.

Uncle Don, Aunt Elaine, Julie & Girls:
Been contelplating all week what to say, so here it goes: Knew Donald since age 12. Sleepng over and hangin out with Missy, coming to watch me play soft-ball, cook-outs, weddings, etc... So much fun and joy to be around and an honor for him to have been in my wedding. Little corruption along the way but loved him like a little brother I never had. He grew up, married and we joked about seeing each other twice a year, 4th. of July and X-mas. Holidays and everyday will never be the same but he'll never be forgotten and will forever be in my thoughts. God Bless you Donald -R.I.P.

I just heard this news this morning and I have not been able to stop thinking about it. To the Tomasso family, I would like to add to the sentiment expressed by so many here and that is how wonderfully funny and kind Donnie was. I hadn't seen him in years, but have some wonderful memories of him and I always held him dear to my heart. To Julie and family, my heart breaks for you and your girls. I have no words for you, but I know you will find the strength you need to get through this. Remember to take care of yourself and ask for help if you need it. Post-partum can be tough on a woman as it is, I can only imagine how difficult it is during a time like this. You will be in my thoughts regularly.

Be Still

Be still like the grass on a melancholy summer day
Be still like desert shrub.

Be calm and you will hear your loved one speak, in the stillness, in the calm, their love resounds.

If you are still this promise I make, you will hear the voice of your loved one helping you along your way.

Don, Elaine, Julie, Denise, Matt & girls; Herb, Travis and I are VERY SORRY for your loss. There are no words we can use to express the sorrow you are all going through at this time. Please know that my dad (Buddy) will be there to help guide him through this difficult time. I've always been told God calls on us when there is a need that only this person can fullfill. If there is ANYTHING my family can do now or in the future, Please do not hesitate to contact us. This is what friends and family do. You were all there for me and my family, please let us be there for you! With heartfelt sorrow, love to you all

Dear Elaine,Don, Denise and Family,
I am so sorry for the loss of your son, words cannot express how much
my heart aches for you all.
My sister Betty told me that when she lost her son, that she would focus on her grandchildren and through them she would see his smile and feel his warm embrace and felt a little comfort. She said she would find a quiet place and sit and recall the past and savior all there memories together good and bad .
You know he will always live on in you and his children. May God wrap his arms around your heart and fill you with his love and compassion. I know it hurts so bad and there is nothing no one can do. But remember I am praying and thinking of you all. Love Lynda Clarke

My Deepest Sympathy to all of you during this most difficult time. I was deeply saddened to read about Don Jr.'s passing.

I am truly sorry for this loss! Don was an old football friend and I remember that he was so full of life and laughter; in fact, he had one of the heartiest laughs I've ever heard. At the games he would quite often raise his glass and have these crazy toasts--now, we will raise our glasses to you old football friend, for you may be gone for now, but you will never be forgotten!

Those we love are never really lost to us--
we feel them in so many special ways--
through friends they always cared about
and dreams they left behind,
in beauty that they added to our days...
in words of wisdom we still carry with us
and memories that never will be gone...
Those we love
are never really lost to us--
for everywhere their special love lives on.
