Donald K. Wright Moorsville - Donald K. Wright

89, of Mooresville, passed away on February 12, 2023, at St. Francis Hospital in Indianapolis. Don was born on November 18, 1933 in Clinton County, Indiana to the late George Monroe Wright and Pearl (Turner) Wright.

Don proudly and honorably served as a Seabee in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War. Farming was Don's passion, however he was an electrician by trade and was a member of the IBEW Local #481 for over 30 years, before retiring. He loved farming and was known as the "Animal Whisperer" raising and breeding AKC Beagles for many years. Strong in his faith, he attended Thrive Church in Mooresville. He will be remembered for his kind, gentle, caring heart, who was fluent in sarcasm and enjoyed teasing family and friends.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Edith "Sam" Wright and a brother George Wright.

He is survived by his children Vicki Wright (Craig Hawes), Roe Wright, Marcia Duke (Mike), a brother Ken Wright, grandchildren Jake (Lindsey), Zach (Megan), Isaac (Leigh), Hannah (Cameron), great grandchildren Malia, Natalie, Judah, J.J., Ari, Esther, Vera, Asher, Izzy, Zira, Ivan, Wren, with one more on the way and his beloved beagle companion, Molly.

Family and friends will gather to celebrate Don's life on Sunday, Feb. 19th from 5-8pm at Carlisle Branson Funeral Service & Crematory, Mooresville. Additional visitation will be on Monday, Feb. 20th from 10am until time of the services at 11am on Monday in the funeral home. Burial will follow the services in White Lick Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are encouraged to be made to Biglife Ministry, PO Box 110431 Naples, FL 34108, https://big.life or to Thrive Church at www.thrivechurch.com .
