Donato R. Rondinelli of Coral Springs, FL (formerly of Clairton, PA) passed away on December 26, 2019, at home at the age of 92. Don was a World War II veteran and a 1985 retiree from US Steel Clairton Works. Never wanting to have "idle hands," Don worked part-time for Publix Super Markets and Stacy Foundation in Florida. Don loved a good conversation, a chance to lend a hand where it might be needed, and especially loved his family and friends. He had a strong commitment to our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Don was preceded in death by his parents, Cesidio and Virginia Rondinelli; his daughter, Diane Mullin; and sister, Mary DeLeo. He is survived by his loving wife, Maryann L. (Penn) of 46 years; sons, Butch (Sylvie) Rondinelli and Donato (Roselis) Rondinelli; daughters, Doreen Martelly, Debby Rondinelli, Donna (Edmund) Vazquez, Michelle (John) Cerqua, Marcia (Shawn) Martin and Darlene Julian. He was the proud grandfather of 13 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, and uncle to nieces and nephews. The family service was a private affair. We will miss our loving husband, father, grandfather, and friend.

What a wonderful life we had, and always together.
He was always so helpful, and when he couldn't leave the apartment he made drawings for me to find places that I needed to go to even what lane to drive in. He didn't hear so good but would keep his cell in his pocket so it would vibrate because he was worried if I had a problem. I would just call, and he always heard me even though other calls he didn't hear so good. I saw the hurt in his tender eyes when I took care of him at the end, and he didn't want me out of his sight. Before it was time to go to sleep, I told him it was ok to let go and take Jesus' hand when He calls him, but walk slow as I would be following soon and will be calling his name. He went home to be with our Lord that night.
Grief is all the unspent love as it gathers up in the corners of your eyes, the lump in your throat and the hollow part of your chest, and my love goes with him. I still see him sitting in his wheelchair nearby, wearing his grey and black flannel shirt with that grin of his...saying, "Hi Babe!"

Daddy and I went to Steeler games at Three Rivers. He would bring Grandpaps homemade wine in a thermos. Years later, when I took Brandon to games in Heinz Field, we found the plate with his name on it ! Good memories!!!

Daddy, you were such a remarkable man! I have never known a man as sweet, tender and friendly as you. You have always inspired your children and others to live their daily life as you did, with such thoughtfulness. Your faith was unwavering, and I thank you for giving us such a strong faith-base as our starting point. Without that, what would we have? I will miss you until I see you again, and I know my babies, Bella and Niko, are pestering you in Heaven for some of that cheese you must be eating! Marcia wrote a beautiful scripture, and it inspired me to leave one of your favorite scriptures here. Love you eternally!
For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life.

How great it was to be with Dad in his last few days. What an honor to have this man as my Dad. I will always truly love him and will always cherish the many fond memories of our lives together that seemed like it only started yesterday. He will be truly missed. I cannot wait to see him in glory with the Lord one day! Until then, I would like to share one of my favorite verses in the Bible and I can just imagine Dad standing in this position today...
Psalm 27:4
One thing I have desired of the Lord,
That I will seek:
That I may dwell in the house of the Lord,
All the days of my life,
To behold the beauty of the Lord,
And to inquire in His temple.
I can't wait to stand next to my earthly father and behold the beauty of our Heavenly Father together one day soon!
