Donna Gail Berry went to join her Lord and Savior on November 10, 2009. Her most important parts of her life were being a loving wife, wonderful mother, a joyous grandmother and a dear friend to all the people she knew both in Texas and Mississippi. Her hobbies included yardwork, cooking, canning, baking treats and cheering for the PN-G Indians. We would like to thank her "angels on earth"--Bonnie Castille, Pattie Castille, Susan Mandel, Kathy Ponder, Linda Rose, Clinton and Janelle Scroggs, Charlie Schildknectht, and Odyssey Health Care (Carmen, Linda, Marcie, Diane, Krestin) for all there loving care and support. Donna was born April 23, 1948 in Port Arthur, Texas to Harroll Brau and Freda Mouton Brau. She was a lifelong area resident and member of St. Elizabeth Catholic Church. Survivors include her husband, Roger Berry of Port Arthur, TX; mother, Freda Brau of Port Neches, TX; daughter, Shana Buchanan and husband, Ben of Navasota, TX; son, David Berry and wife, Nikki of Lake Charles, LA; sister, Debbie Hutchins and husband, Randy of Port Neches, TX; three grandchildren, Hogan Berry, Reagan Berry and Jane Marie Buchanan. A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 12 noon, Friday, November 13, 2009 at St. Elizabeth Catholic Church with Reverend Bennie Patillo officiating. Burial will follow at Oak Bluff Memorial Park under the direction of Levingston Funeral Home in Port Neches. A visitation for family and friends will be held on Thursday evening from 4:00 p.m.-7:00 p.m., with Vigil Services at 5:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Friends wishing may send memorial contributions to the American Cancer Society or charity of choice.

I too was saddened to hear of Donna Gail's passing. I have many fond memories of growing up with her and Debbie on Bryan Ave. I pray that her family will find comfort in God's promise of everlasting life.

Donna Gail was my next door neighbor for many years on Bryan Avenue in Groves, and I enjoyed many happy hours with her and Debbie and the other neighborhood kids. I was sadeened to learn of her passing, and send my condolences to her family and friends in this time of loss.
