October 4, 2022

Our loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother Donna Mae Carrigan passed away at the age of 84 on October 4th after a short battle with cancer.

Donna was born March 13th, 1938, in Pendleton, Oregon to Henry and Margaret Halvorsen. In 1941, along with her sister, Carole, the family moved to Medford, Oregon.

She graduated from Medford High School in 1956.

In 1961, she married Gordon Casey and raised 4 children. Wendy (Lee) Sparks, Tiffany Casey, Thomas (Tami) Casey, and Teresa (Matt) Bryant.

Donna was extremely proud of her family. She adored her 9 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren, and her dog Ezzy.

In 1989, she married Gordy Carrigan and together they opened Oxford Houses for clean and sober adults.

Throughout her life she volunteered for multiple charitable and philanthropic organizations.

Mostly, Donna will be remembered for her open heart, warmth, kindness, and her beautiful smile. She loved spending time with her large family, many friends, and was known to be a mother to those that needed love in their lives. Her love and nurturing fostered the closeness among us while teaching forgiveness and being grateful for life. She was truly the brightest light in the room.

She was loved by all and will be deeply missed.

Donna was predeceased by her husband Gordy, sister Carole Rosenbalm, and grandson Casey Sparks.

A celebration of her amazing life will be held November 5th, 2022, from 1:00 pm â€" 4:00 pm at the Bob and Phyllis Mace Center on the Expo Grounds in Central Point. Please come join in celebration.
