2023 - Writing my autobiography, memories of wonderful times spent with Donna and also as couples with Donna and Dave in the 80's brought tears of sadness and loss, remembering their move from our neighbourhood in Mississauga to Saskatchewan. They were the most interesting, kind and hilariously funny couple I had ever met and generously shared their depth of knowledge, kindness, humanity and world experiences. Over the years we lost touch so today I decided to search for them and found this memorial for Donna from Sept. 2017. She was the warmest, most caring and influential woman I ever met. She was my dear friend, and mentor who shared her zest for life, love and caring about others. No other female friend in my life, now at age 85 had such a profound influence on me. Her friendship created in me an extraordinary sense of attunement.

Dave, Tom Jenny, Becky and families! My sincerest condolences on the passing of your wife mom and Grandmother. I have fond memories of course, of Donna's telephone voice, hearing forever "Cowley Gardens" while rolling the eyes lol...in her sooo professional soft voice!! I remember my last visit with her, having tea in the kitchen, catching up on the years that had past!! So with that I think of you all, think of you with thankfulness I was a small part of your crop circle for awhile!!! Treasured memories. Thank you!! <3 RIP

I was stunned to learn of Donna's death. I remember Donna as a thoughtful, kind and generous woman who always welcomed me and my family with a warm embrace. We loved overnighting at the Cowley's and catching up over a lengthy relaxed breakfast.

Dave and family I so sorry for your loss of Donna. She was a wonderful woman, both my boys had Donna as a in school tudor. I fully believe they would not have been successful without the kind and professional instruction she gave them. I was so pleased when years later we met you and Donna at the Regina Beach Yacht Club and found out you were sailors too. She is in my heart and prayers.
