Donna S. Hellein

Donna Susan Hellein, 63 of North Apollo, passed away Thursday, May 27, 2021, at her home. She was born Tuesday, March 18, 1958, in San Diego, Calif., the daughter of the late Ronald Phillip and Carolyn Irene Hartman (Crebs) Hellein.Donna was most recently employed at the Honey Bear Sunoco in North Apollo as a clerk, and in prior years, had worked in the healthcare field, both at longterm care homes and in the home health industry. She attended the First United Methodist Church in Kittanning. Donna loved to garden and socialize with friends. She drew great pleasure from her faithful companions, her dogs, Koalton and Pisces. She was a devoted mother to her only son, Ryan L. Thornton, of Waynesburg. In addition to her son, she is survived by her cousins, Bradley Hellein and his wife, Martha "Mert," of Ford City, and Christopher Hellein and his wife, Penny, of Penn Hills; and three aunts, Elaine Schaeffer and her husband, Bob, of Oregon, Mary Crebs, of Natrona Heights, and Ethel Hartman, of Westford, Mass.In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Jaqueline Hellein. Family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, June 3, 2021, in the KELLY L. CORRIDONI FUNERAL HOME, LTD., 1916 Moore Ave, North Apollo.
