Donna Lutz Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Aug. 3, 2014.
Donna Woolwine Lutz lost her battle with Leukemia on July 17, 2014. She was born on February 2, 1955 to Robert and Alouise Woolwine of Granby, Co. Her family moved to Boulder in 1971 and graduated from Boulder High School in 1973. She worked in the medical field and real estate. Donna married Randy Lutz in 1990 and moved to Niwot where she lived until her passing. She is survived by her husband Randy, her brother Randy Woolwine of CA and her nephew Spencer Woolwine of CA. She is also survived by Dorothy Lutz and Sharron and Ron Bates along with Bill and Joyce Weatherill, Shawn, Trish, Allie and Carli Weatherill all of Canon City, CO and Brent Weatherill of Mexico. Both families called Donna their daughter and sister. Donna had a great love of life and lived it to the fullest with her husband Randy. They enjoyed traveling together to beaches and mountains, spending time with family, friends and the their timeshare kids. During their life journey Donna and Randy made many close and lasting friendships. Donna had a great sense of humor and sharp wit, loved cheering for the CU Buffs and teasing anyone with a different team allegiance. Those of us left behind are so blessed to have been a part of this smiling caring woman's life. Her life if measured by all of the smiles and depth of love would be immeasurable. We would like to thank our relatives and friends who gave their time and support to us during the long battle these past months. We also want to thank the team of Doctors and care staff at Presb. St Luke's Hospital that allowed Donna to fight hard but also to pass graciously in their care. There will be Celebration of Donnas' Life on Aug. 16th 2:30 - 5:30 at the Longmont American Legion 315 S. Bowen St. Longmont, CO. Wear your best Hawaiian or CU Buff shirt! Please bring your favorite appetizer to share. In lieu of flowers, please make contributions to: Donna's Susan B Koman Breast Cancer Race for the Cure team convio.komencolorado. org, then search for team name Knockers and Knuts or LLS.org.

Randy,
I just heard about your wife's death as of today. My heart is so very heavy with sorrow for you. I pray God will always be with you and give you strength to help you through this passage of your life. I never had the honor and privilege to meet your wife but I do know your always honored her by the way you would speak about her. I am so sorry for the suffering she endured. She fought the good fight. May God bless you always.

I will miss you so much even if you kidded me about being short. We all can't be tall and beautiful. You will always be in my prayers.
