Donna Lynn McKeighan

Donna Lynn McKeighan, 52, of Rutland, Vermont, passed away on July 19, 2025, in Rutland. Born on March 20, 1973, in Cambridge, New York, Donna brought warmth and generosity to all who knew her.

Donna was known affectionately by many as "the laundry lady" during her time working at the Hampton Inn in Rutland. Her dedication and familiar presence made her a beloved part of the team and a friendly face to guests and coworkers alike.

Family was at the heart of Donna's life. She is lovingly remembered by her children: Bruce VanGuilder and his partner Kiara Derusha of Rutland; Virginia VanGuilder and her partner Michael Richardson of Rutland; Paige VanGuilder of Rutland; and Preston VanGuilder and his partner Flo Whitney of Rutland. Her ten cherished grandchildren-Kane, Ella, Cayde, Demetrius, Kyren, Peyton, Naveah, Owen, Greyson, and Lakota-were the light of her life. Donna treasured every moment spent with them. Whether it was hosting sleepovers filled with snacks and juice or simply enjoying quiet time together, she created lasting memories that will be held close to their hearts.

She is also survived by her siblings: brother Frankie McKeighan and sisters Dawn Martindale and Debbie Zukoski. Donna was preceded in death by her parents, Donna and Franklin McKeighan, as well as her niece Tressa McKinney.

Donna had a giving spirit that touched everyone around her. She was always there when someone needed help-never hesitating to lend a hand or offer support. She found joy in holiday gatherings with family and delighted in creating special moments for those she loved. Her passions included playing games on her computer, crafting intricate diamond art pieces, caring for her beloved cats, and collecting dolphin-themed items that reflected her gentle nature.

Her legacy lives on through the love she gave so freely and the memories she created with those closest to her.
