Donna Morton Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Sep. 19, 2024.
Donna Leigh Morton (née Unger), age 61, passed away peacefully at home on September 14, 2024, after a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer. With remarkable grit and tenacity, Donna completed every available course of treatment. It is with immense pride that her family remembers Donna's unwavering bravery during her illness.

Donna is cherished for her indomitable spirit and joyful spontaneity. She found happiness in soft lighting, long meals, and good company. Delighting in simple pleasures, Donna loved swimming in the ocean, savoring a hot cup of coffee, and sharing inside jokes with loved ones. Remembered for her business savvy and perseverance, Donna successfully founded and operated Lulabelle The Bra Studio, becoming "The Bra Whisperer" and cultivating a community of women who feel beautiful in their own skin.

She is survived by her four beloved children-Alexandra, Jack, Daniel, and Olivia-to whom she was entirely devoted. Donna's legacy will endure through all those who had the privilege of knowing her best: her children, family, friends, and clients.

A celebration of life will be held at 2 PM on Saturday, September 28th, at Harbor United Methodist Church in Scituate, Massachusetts. All who knew Donna are welcome to attend and celebrate her life. Flowers may be sent to this location close to the date of Donna's ceremony.

I knew Donna since 9th grade. We would connect occasionally through the years and when we got older we would spend most of the time talking about our kids. Her love and adoration of her children was wonderful to listen to. I am so sad that she was taken from them now, way too soon.

I found some pictures from a 1979 backpacking trip in Harriman State Park. A nice memory.

I am so sorry for your loss.

I met Donna at The Studio years ago and loved her collection and guidance and followed her to her store in Chestnut hill . I introduced her to my daughter who also wears many items from the store.. I was sorry when it closed. Donna was a force. I admired her so much. Such strength and grit and great sense of humor. May her memory be a blessing.

I was a customer at Donna's store when I brought my mom, who has dementia, in for a fitting. Donna took such great care of her and was so kind and understanding of my mom limitations. Later when I went to pick up a special order, Donna shared her own experience of loving someone with dementia and shared resources that she had found helpful. Sending love to Donna's friends and family, especially her children. Your mom was special lady.

I met Donna from going into her shop in Hanover. She was a shrewd business woman, filling a void on the south shore by starting a bra shop that had stylish and functional bras for every day and special occasions. The women working there were trained well in taking proper measurements. She hired lovely employees like Beata and Janet who were so helpful and kind with their clients, getting to know them and their tastes and needs. My Mom passed away 10 yrs ago from pancreatic cancer and I so hoped for a better outcome for Donna. While I didn't know her very well, I saw her in the shop a few times after her diagnosis and she showed the same grace and grit in the face of a very grim disease. Condolences to her family, her friends and her employees, Beata and Janet, for this huge loss. Fondly, Andrea
