Dorcas Dorsey Huff, 87, of Steubenville, Ohio, passed away on Wednesday, August 17, 2022, at The Ohio State University Medical Center East in Columbus, Ohio. She was born in Steubenville on September 7, 1934, to the union of the late Robert D. and Levay McIntyre Dosey.
Dorcas attended Steubenville Public Schools and was active in many organizations. She attended Second Baptist Church in Steubenville where she sang in the choir and was involved in many church events. She was also an active member of the Eastern Stars.
Dorcas married George Huff in 1952, and their union was blessed with five wonderful children. She was such a kind-hearted person with a beautiful spirit. She had a true gift for making everyone around her feel loved.
Preceding her in death along with her parents were her seventeen siblings.
Leaving to cherish her memories are her daughters, Flora (Otis) Wingo, Gladys (Leon) Jenkins, Chimurenga (Larry) Little, Janet (George) Porter, and her only son, Nathan Huff (Brenda Harris); a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, special family, and friends
The family will receive friends on Saturday, August 27, 2022, from 11:00 am until the time of her funeral service, 1:00 pm at the Second Baptist Church, 717 Adams Street in Steubenville, Ohio. Interment will follow at Union Cemetery.

I am very sorry for your loss. I have very fond memories of working with Dorcas at Mammoth Plastics. She was a great listener and a friend. She encouraged me always, to finish nursing school and to be good to my husband Jerry. My prayers are with the family. May God Bless.
