Doreen FLYNN Obituary
Doreen passed away to a more peaceful place on Sunday, January 1st, 2012 after a prolonged journey with Alzheimer's disease. She was only 68 years old.
Doreen's life will be celebrated and her loss mourned by her family and all who knew and cared for her.
She was a beloved daughter, sister, mother, grandmother and friend.
She is survived by her four children: Deanna Hebert (Gerald), Darren Doonanco (Wendy Burkart), Kerry Doonanco and Cory Doonanco. Also five grandchildren: Remiel, Cara, Jerry, Kayla and Haley.
She is also survived by her sister Hazel (Skip) Stewart, brother Gordon (Linda) Flynn, twin sister Doris (Bill) Brown, as well as four nephews and one niece. Doreen was predeceased by her parents, Walter and Vera Flynn.
The family would like to extend a very grateful THANK YOU to all of Doreen's caregivers over the years at Strathcona, Dickinsfield, Alberta Hospital, Lynnwood, and finally at Eaux Claires.
A Memorial service will take place on Saturday, January 7th at 2:00 pm at WESTLAWN Memorial Funeral Home, at 16310 - St. Plain Rd., Edmonton, AB. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Society of Alberta.

Mom i thought of you on your Birthday and Mothers Day.I know how you always had marigolds at our house on 72st and so I planted some at home for you to enjoy.I haven't forgot about the geraniums I get you every Mothers Day so I will get those soon and take care of them and nourish them as you would.Everytime I water the flowers or pass by them i will be thinking of you as I often do. I miss you ma, i love you soooo much.
