Doreen Sayers Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Jun. 16, 2025.
Doreen Elizabeth Sayers, age 53, gained her angel wings on June 16, 2025, in Haverhill, MA. Born on February 21, 1972, Doreen was a spirited individual known for her deep love of animals, particularly her cherished cat, Charlie, whom she had to re-home due to struggles with her illness. She graduated from Pentucket Regional High School in 1990, where she left a lasting impression on her classmates, basketball team members and teachers.

Doreen is survived by her loving siblings, Denise Michaud and her husband Bob of Sandown NH, Donna Ravgiala of Lawrence Ma, Debra Reed of Tupelo Ms, and Dennis Sayers of Haverhill Ma. She was preceded in death by her brother, Donald Sayers. Her close friendships proved that she was a caring, and loyal friend.

Throughout her life, Doreen maintained a variety of interests that brought joy not only to her but also to those around her. She was an enthusiastic fan of AC/DC and would love to rock out to their music. An avid Redsox and Patriots fan. A strong Trump supporter. Doreen enjoyed her visits to Encore Casino with her sister playing the penny slots. Doreen was always up for a trip to Ipswich to get her favorite pizza at the Riverview with family and friends. She cherished her late-night phone conversations with her older sister, who lives in the South. This was a source of comfort and joy. Additionally, FaceTiming with her great-niece, Magdalene, was a highlight of her days, filled with laughter and storytelling.

Doreen's presence will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all who knew her. Her memory will live on in the hearts of those she touched with her vibrant spirit and loving nature.

Doreen was a great human being and she'll be forever reminded and missed at my house! She lived life her way and faced the end with dignity and bravery. She was funny and open. Snever let a difference of opinion in politics come between a friendship, something we both agreed on 100%! As the kids say she was a real one. Love you, girl! I know you wouldn't want us to cry, but it sucks saying goodbye to you so soon.

I haven´t seen Doreen in years but do have many memories growing up in our neighborhood in West Newbury and graduating together. She could always make laugh. I am so very sorry for your loss. Sending thoughts and prayers to all her family and friends.
