Doris Basinger Obituary
April 21, 1930 - Jan. 15, 2021
Doris J Basinger, of Riesel, died January 15, 2021. Services will be held at 2 p.m., Thursday, January 21, at Hillcrest Cemetery with Pastor Judson Strawbridge officiating. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m., Wednesday, January 20, at Adams Funeral Home.
Mrs. Basinger was born April 21, 1930, in Thornton, Limestone County, TX, to Raymond and Vida (Lloyd) Stroud. She was employed in the McLennan County Auditor's office, Waco, for 27 ½ years before retiring in 1990. Before her marriage to Howard D. Basinger on December 31, 1958, she enjoyed several years work at Southwestern Greyhound Lines Tour department in Dallas.
She was preceded in death by her husband; her daughter, Beverly; and her parents. Survivors include her son, Howard D. Basinger Jr. and wife, Linda, Tolar; grandchildren, Lawrence Ostwald and Ashley (Hering) Siepl and husband, James, Riesel; great-grandchildren, Malaylla Siepl, Riesel; many cousins, friends, and neighbors.
