Doris Blum

Doris E. Blum Maryland/Morgan Twsp/Kouts Doris E. Blum, age 80, of Baltimore, Maryland, formerly of Morgan Township and Kouts, passed away Wednesday, December 24, 2003 at her home in Baltimore. She was born July 24, 1923 in Fair Oaks, Indiana to Oral and Kathryn (Coates) Devereaux. On July 3, 1043 in Valparaiso, she married Harold Blum who survives. Also surviving are her children, Judy (Robert) Miller of Baltimore, Maryland, Janet Blum of Kouts, Jerry (Leisa) Blum of Valparaiso and two grandchildren Brian and Mark. Two sisters Esther (Howard) Gordon and Margaret Schultz, both of Wanatah and her brother, Orville (Pat) Devereaux of Kouts also survive her. Doris was a 1943 Clinton Township High School graduate. She was a homemaker; and also worked at the Philley Manufacturing Co. in Valparaiso, for over 30 years. Funeral services will be 10:00 A.M. Tuesday, December 30th at the Bartholomew Funeral Home, 102 Monroe St., Valparaiso, Pastor Dee Miller will officiate. Burial will be in Graceland Cemetery. Visitation for Doris will be on Monday 4 to 8 P.M. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the charity of donor's choice, St. Agnes Center, 1859 W.
