Doris A. (Zern) Brooks

My cousin Doris was 8 years older but was always so nice to me as I was growing up. She always had time for me and showed interest in what I was doing, whether at home or at our grandparents´ house. She always called me her favorite cousin, though I think that was after my brothers went to college! I will always remember the Millersville shirt that she got me for my birthday after she went on to college. I have to believe she touched the lives of many, many elementary school children during her teaching career. She was loved my many and will be missed.....Don Gerhart

Melanie, I am a cousin of Doris. New her when we were growing up.That's when I knew her best. Went to same church, family picnics, visited at their house on Reading avenue. With much sympathy, Elaine
