Dorothy Barker Obituary
ELKHART - Dorothy M. Barker, 75, passed away on Monday at Hospice House in Elkhart, IN, of natural causes. She had been a waitress. She was born in Bradshaw, WV to Johnny & Floy Horne, who preceded her in death. On May 15, 1954, she married Donald Lee Barker, Sr., who also preceded in death, on Nov. 5, 1987, along with a son, William Barker, who died Feb. 13, 2012. Survivors include sons, Donald (Karen) Barker, Jr. of Niles, MI; significant other, Willis "Shawn" Landrum of Elkhart, IN; daughter, Jennifer (Michael) Young of Nolensville, TN; daughter-in-law, Sarah Barker of Buchanan, MI; brother, Jackie Horne of West Virginia; sisters, Nadine Hinton of Edwardsburg, MI, Peggie Cantrell of Anderson, IN, Thelma Rouch of Elkhart, IN and Brenda Rash of Morgantown, WV; 11 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren. Friends may call from 12 noon to 1 p.m. on Wednesday, June 27, 2012 at Hoven Funeral Home, Buchanan, MI, followed by funeral services at 1 p.m., also at the funeral home. Burial will be in Mission Hills Memorial Gardens, Niles, MI. Arrangements by Hoven Funeral Home, Inc.
