We were sad to hear of Mrs Browns passing but very happy to have known her. She was a dear friend of my mother and father. Cottage visits and countless Bridge night. I remember so much laughter. Mom would be surprised you joined her the same year. Lots of heavenly Bridge now. Rest is peace.

I stayed with the Brown's for two months before my last high school year in 1985/86 because my family had moved away from Cambridge and Rob was my friend. I was welcomed by his parents as if I was another family member that had simply been away and had come back to claim my place at the table. My laundry was done, my mess was cleaned, my plates were brought to the kitchen...and almost never by me. I had wanted to help out, to show my appreciation for getting to live in such a fine and friendly place...but I never really got the chance to do chores. Mrs. Brown was a whirlwind of energy in service of others. But more importantly, you always felt hopeful around her and warmed by her beautiful smile and fantastic sense of humor. Thank-you, Old Fudge Lady! Thank-you.

Condolences to the family. Mrs. Bown was an ALLSTAR mom. So kind and understanding whether dealing with a gang of rowdy boys on the Lowell St. rink, at a sleep-over in the big attic on James St., or overloading the little "JiGoMaBe" in Lake Joseph. She is definitely in the Mother Hall of Fame! Glen Johnson
