Dorothy M. Bruen CENTREVILLE, Va. Dorothy M. Bruen died Thursday, Jan. 14, 2010, at her residence in Centreville, Va., formerly of Bath, Maine, and Hudson. Daughter the late George H. and Marie (Duval) Pearce, she was the beloved mother of James G. Bruen Jr. of Centreville, Va., George P. Bruen of Bath, Maine, Joseph Bruen of Fairfield, Iowa, Dorothy M. Bruen of Bath, Maine, John P. Bruen of Hudson and Nobleboro, Maine; cherished grandmother of 15; and great-grandmother of five; dear sister of Paul Pearce of Gladynne, Pa., and Archbishop George H. Pearce, S.M., of Providence, R.I. She was preceded in death by her husband of more than 30 years, James G. Bruen, and her siblings, Ruth, Marie and John. Mrs. Bruen was a member of the Legion of Mary and was a graduate of Regis College. A Mass of Christian burial will be offered Wednesday, Jan. 20, at 10 a.m., at St. Timothy Catholic Church, 13807 Poplar Tree Road, Chantilly, VA 20151. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to The Marist Missions, 13 Isabella St., Boston, MA 02116. Arrangements are entrusted to Everly Funeral Home, Fairfax, Va.
